Some of the beautiful images of the charter sailing yacht Lady Patty were featured in magazines and newspapers from the mid-Atlantic area and across the U.S. She has been the eye candy on the cover of Chesapeake Bay Magazine and the centerfold of Sail. She was also prominent in marketing campaigns for the region’s tourism industry.
We even have a few that were printed from negatives that reside in the archives of the Mystic Seaport Museum in Mystic, CT. These images were taken by the quite-notable, Morris Rosenfeld. He was one of the most prolific and well-respected marine photographers ever. Morris was inducted into the National Sailing Hall of Fame on October 27, 2013. The Rosenfeld images of Lady Patty were taken during her offshore racing days while owned and skippered by original owner, James Crawford of Bradenton Florida.
Other images were sent to us by our guests. We especially love these. They represent good friends having great times and that’s what we are all about.
Many of the photographs were taken by the Captain and crew over the years. They include pics from races and special events from all over the mid-Chesapeake Bay area. Quite a few of the pics in the LP archives were taken by another prolific and talented photographer, my mother B.J. who tirelessly chronicles the lives of her children including my own.
Some were even taken by me, the current owner while either Captain in recent years or when I was First Mate on Lady Patty many years ago.
On a more somber note, this gallery also includes images of a fellow First Mate later Captain of Lady Patty and friend, the late Captain Chris Richards.
We are all just a chapter in the long and interesting history of this old boat. Join us for a charter and make your own memories of the classic and beautiful Lady Patty.
